Thrill of Victory for Special Olympics Skaters at Skylands Ice World

HARDYSTON — The 2018 Special Olympics New Jersey Winter Games concluded on Tuesday at Skylands Ice World with the speed skating portion of the competition.
The two-day event included alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, floor hockey, figure skating, snowboarding, snowshoeing, speed skating and volleyball.
The 2018 edition marked the 50th anniversary of Special Olympics New Jersey, the winter portion of which Mountain Creek, in Vernon, has hosted every year for the last 35 years.
